U.S. Agency for International Development Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick will deliver remarks at the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
The second Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom will convene government officials, representatives of international organizations, faith leaders, rights advocates, and members of civil-society organizations from around the world to discuss challenges to religious freedom; identify concrete means to address the persecution of, and discrimination against, religious groups; and promote greater respect for religious freedom for all. The Ministerial is taking place in Washington, D.C., July 16 - 18, 2019.
Deputy Administrator Glick will address members of civil-society groups, including faith leaders and survivors of religious persecution, who will convene to tell their stories, share their expertise, and build partnerships to enhance religious freedom.
The Deputy Administrator will discuss the contributions of faith-based organizations and the importance of fostering partnerships with the faith community in realizing USAID's self-reliance aspirations abroad.
