USAID DCA & NCB Jamaica Partnership (pdf - 94k)
On September 20, 2019 USAID Development Credit Authority (DCA) finalized the agreement of 25 million dollar Loan Portfolio Guarantee with the National Commercial Bank Jamaica, which will increase access to finance for individuals, households, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and companies across the Caribbean region (Jamaica, the Eastern and Southern Caribbean) pursuing renewable energy sector endeavors.
This includes renewable energy, power generation and distribution, energy efficiency, and green mortgages. It will also support some SME lending, for working capital, machinery, equipment, facilities, business growth, expansion, and other investments. The DCA with National Commercial Bank Jamaica supports the USG Caribbean Energy Security Initiative (CESI), which seeks to advance diverse, resilient, cost-effective, and secure energy systems across the Caribbean.
