U.S. Ambassador to Namibia, Lisa Johnson observed a public speaking training session for women at the country's Sikunga Conservancy near Katima Mulilo in Zambezi Region. The American government helps to empower women in rural #Namibia to fight wildlife crime and to become engaged in conservation. Through innovation, outreach, and effective partnerships, the USAID Combating Wildlife Crime in Namibia and the Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) project counters growing threats from transnational wildlife crime, focusing on endangered rhino populations in northwest Namibia and more than 200,000 elephants in KAZA. The multi-country, multi-partner #USAID program is led by the World Wide Fund for Nature (#WWF) Namibia.
