U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman will travel to Tbilisi, Georgia, and Warsaw, Poland, September 7-12, 2019.
In Tbilisi, Assistant Administrator Bierman will speak at the McCain Institute's 2019 Tbilisi International Conference, jointly hosted by the Economic Policy Research Center. At the conference, Assistant Administrator Bierman will discuss USAID's efforts to counter Kremlin-backed disinformation campaigns by supporting independent media organizations and media literacy in the region. While in Tbilisi, he will also meet with Georgian Government officials and entrepreneurs.
In Warsaw, Assistant Administrator Bierman will outline USAID's Countering Malign Kremlin Influence Development Framework at an event hosted by the Community of Democracies
