DATES: September 2008 - June 2013
PARTNERS: Consortium for Electoral and Political Processes Support (CEPPS)

This project aims to strengthen the ability of political stakeholders to articulate, organize, and compete in elections, as well as to increase public awareness and oversight of the electoral process. Through this project, USAID intends to increase broad-based participation in the electoral process, including at the sub-national level. In the period between elections, this project focuses on political party development, increasing citizen engagement with the government and limited civic education initiatives. CEPPS includes the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, the International Republican Institute, and the National Democratic Institute.
