USAID harnesses the power and creativity of young people to help Kenyan children improve their literacy skills of grades 1, 2 and 3 students through the Tusome Early Grade Reading Program. Youth groups partner with national libraries, theatre groups and schools to promote literacy nationwide. Improved literacy will support Kenya's journey to self-reliance.
