The Chocolate Makers: From Bean to Bar in Vietnam

The Sustainable Cocoa Enterprise Solutions for Smallholders (SUCCESS) Alliance, a USAID-supported public-private partnership, trained nearly 22,000 small scale farmers in southern Vietnam and the Central Highlands in cacao production using sustainable cropping practices. The project improved the livelihood of these farmers by promoting cocoa production and marketing in a way that is economically, environmentally, socially, and culturally sustainable.
