The United States Government has led the global fight against: Ebola HIV/AIDS Tuberculosis Malaria and other infectious diseases. We will lead the global fight against COVID-19 even as we battle it on the home front. As the most generous nation in the world we've helped countless countries in need build up their health systems. Thanks to our help they are now in a better position to fight COVID-19. Across the globe, USAID is working to Strengthen workers on the frontlines to slow the spread care for the affected and prepare local communities to fight back against COVID-19. USAID has committed more than $12 billion to combat COVID-19 and more is on the way. USAID calls on other donors to join us and contribute to the effort to combat COVID-19.
