On June 19, I joined Deputy Secretary of Commerce Karen Dunn Kelly in Mozambique to launch Prosper Africa, the administration's new initiative to increase trade between the U.S. and Africa. I also shared the vision and details for Prosper Africa with business leaders and government officials at the U.S. - Africa Business Summit. Prosper Africa is a new approach. It seeks to liberate and mobilize private enterprise, and promotes good governance and stability. It is demand driven, private-sector led and will fuel economic growth and job creation on both sides of the Atlantic.
