The U.S. and the Philippines work together to improve the quality of education. Since 2013, more than 19,000 teachers have been trained on effective reading instruction, while over 8.1 million instructional and reading materials have been distributed in participating schools, contributing to the development of more than 1.6 million new readers in the Philippines.
