ACCELERE!1’s goal is to improve educational outcomes for girls and boys in DRC through improved teaching and learning, reduced barriers to education, and increased transparency of school governance structures. To date, ACCELERE!1 developed and distributed over 2.3 million school materials in Lingala, Kiswahili, Ciluba and in French across 4,500 schools. The project also provided seed-funds to parents of children from vulnerable families to maintain over 14,000 children enrolled in school, created gender committees to promote safer environment in schools and helped young people with professional training.
