U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green will travel to New York City, from September 25-26, to participate in the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Administrator Green will meet with bilateral and multilateral partners to discuss USAID's Journey to Self-Reliance, private-sector innovations in delivering humanitarian assistance, accelerating action to end tuberculosis, addressing food-insecurity in conflict situations, and other development and humanitarian assistance priorities.
On September 25, Administrator Green will deliver remarks at the Ending the Need for Foreign Assistance event at the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit. Acting USAID Deputy Administrator David Moore; Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau for Policy, Planning and Learning James Richardson; Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau for Food Security Beth Dunford; Acting Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Asia Gloria Steele; Acting Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance Tim Ziemer; Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa Ramsey Day; Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean Steve Olive; and Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment Michelle Bekkering will also travel to New York City for UNGA.
