Today is Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick’s last day at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She has been a tremendous champion of, and for, USAID, particularly in her leadership of the Agency’s Digital Strategy and ensuring partner countries maximize clean technology in their Journeys to Self-Reliance. She also led the Administrator’s Action Alliance for Preventing Sexual Misconduct, and served as the head of the Management Operations Council.

The entire USAID family owes Bonnie a debt of gratitude for her leadership and her accomplishments and wishes her well in all of her future endeavors.

Pursuant to the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-227), John Barsa’s term as Acting Administrator expires today at midnight. The President has designated Mr. Barsa as the Acting Deputy Administrator of USAID, and he will begin those duties this evening and continue to lead the Agency in this new capacity.

USAID thanks Deputy Administrator Glick for her service and contributions.
