U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Counselor Thomas H. Staal will travel to Geneva, Switzerland from April 1 to April 5, 2018.
Counselor Staal will lead the U.S. delegation to the United Nations 2018 Yemen High-Level Pledging Event, which includes Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration Ambassador Mark C. Storella. The U.S. delegation will reaffirm the U.S. commitment to the people of Yemen, who face both the world's largest food security emergency and the worst cholera outbreak, having endured more than three years of war.
