U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman will travel to U.S. European Command, Azerbaijan, and Armenia from December 11 - December 20.

Bierman will visit U.S. European Command for discussions on shared foreign policy objectives in the region and further opportunities for civilian-military cooperation. In Azerbaijan, he will meet with leaders from the national government to discuss ongoing USAID support for economic diversification and development. While in Azerbaijan, Bierman will also visit USAID activities that support the growing small business sector and will deliver remarks at the National Community Development Conference attended by the Ministry of Economy and other government representatives.

He will conclude his trip in Armenia where he will meet with leaders from the Armenian government, civil society, and the private sector to discuss the social and economic development conditions affecting the country. During his trip, Bierman will also visit several beneficiaries of USAID assistance and will meet with youth activists for discussions on the role of civic engagement in driving reform in Armenia.
