United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick traveled to The Netherlands to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).
On June 3, Deputy Administrator Glick delivered remarks at the Women's World Banking 40th Anniversary Dinner co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, where she spoke about catalyzing market forces to drive women's economic empowerment in developing markets.

She also joined Overseas Private Investment Corporation Acting President and CEO David Bohigian at a press conference to highlight the U.S. Government's substantial commitments in support of the Women's Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative, a whole-of-government effort to promote women's economic empowerment around the world.
On June 5, Deputy Administrator Glick announced $1.5 million in grant funding for the Second Round of the W-GDP WomenConnect Challenge and met with grant recipients from Round One of the Challenge. She also met with Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump following the announcement of a partnership between USAID and MasterCard to expand access to financial services to women in developing countries, in support of the W-GDP Initiative. Deputy Administrator Glick met with Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag to discuss coordination between the United States and The Netherlands in response to humanitarian crises and development challenges. The Deputy Administrator also moderated a plenary panel on social ventures and innovations in frontier markets.
