U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Counselor Thomas H. Staal will travel to Berlin, Germany September 1-3 to participate in the High Level Conference on the Lake Chad Region to discuss humanitarian response, crisis prevention, stabilization, and sustainable development.

Following the trip to Germany, Counselor Staal will travel to Amman, Jordan September 4-6 to attend Syria and Yemen Donor Group meetings on humanitarian assistance. He will also visit U.S. government projects in Jordan including a wastewater treatment plan, as well as meet with USAID and State Department staff.
