United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green met today with Ulla Tørnæs, Minister for Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Administrator Green and Minister Tørnæs discussed humanitarian crises around the world, including the on-going man-made crisis in South Sudan. They also emphasized their commitment to supporting women's empowerment, ensuing access to education for women and girls, and advancing women's entrepreneurship in developing counties. Administrator Green noted U.S. support for the United Nations (UN) reform agenda and welcomed Denmark's partnership in increasing the effectiveness of the UN System.
