U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman will travel to Moldova and Ukraine May 3 - 16.
While in Moldova, Bierman will meet with government leaders, civil society, and the private sector to discuss social and economic development challenges affecting the country, and the importance of Moldova's free, fair, and transparent administration of upcoming parliamentary elections.
Bierman will then travel to Ukraine May 9-16 to meet with civil society and government officials to discuss enhancing democratic governance, strengthening transparency, and implementing economic reforms. He will also visit USAID agricultural development projects and meet with private sector leaders. Bierman will also travel to eastern Ukraine to meet with local government officials and visit USAID projects that serve communities affected by conflict.
