U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau for Food Security and Deputy Coordinator for Development for Feed the Future Beth Dunford will travel to the Netherlands November 14-15 to join the Board of the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, and 600 CEOs, ministers, financiers, NGOs, and other experts to commemorate the 10th anniversary of IDH.
During the meeting, Dunford will speak at the launch of IDH's new FarmFit Fund, a smallholder farmer financing facility, and will also participate in a panel discussion on opportunities and challenges in smallholder farmer value chain financing.
USAID consistently looks for ways to collaborate with the private sector to co-create and co-invest in partnerships that benefit both business and development. By accessing tools from across the U.S. government, USAID helps unlock investment by reducing risk to financiers, including through the use of credit guarantees.
