The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau for Food Security and Deputy Coordinator for Development for Feed the Future Beth Dunford, and USAID Director of the Office of Food for Peace Trey Hicks will travel to Brussels, Belgium April 2 - 3 to participate in the "Food and Agriculture in Times of Crisis" high-level event hosted by the Global Network against Food Crises.
While there, Dunford and Hicks will speak at the event and meet with partners to share how USAID is transforming to better connect humanitarian and development assistance efforts to support countries on their journey to self-reliance.
Dunford will deliver keynote remarks on USAID's vision for resilience and food security and Hicks will participate in a panel discussion to discuss opportunities and challenges in addressing recurrent humanitarian food crises through both humanitarian and development investments.
