In Torotoro, Bolivia, USAID provided technical assistance on agricultural activities in exchange for farmers’ commitment to protect the endangered red-fronted macaw. By managing erosion, inconsistent rainfall, and deforestation, USAID supported work that increased household income, reduced child malnutrition, and increased sustainable conservation for that region.
