The USAID LINKAGES (Linkages across the Continuum of HIV Services for Key Populations Affected by HIV ) Project has commenced a Regional South to South (S2S) Mentoring Initiative expected to build the capacity of LINKAGES-supported civil society organizations (CSOs) in the Bahamas, Barbados, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. A total of 18 key personnel from nine LINKAGES-supported CSOs in the above countries, met in Suriname for a three-day orientation and launch of the S2S initiative. During a recent meeting, the CSOs shared best practices and learnt new skills to successfully build mentoring relationships, while improving the quality of their work , and building a resilient and sustainable network across the Caribbean. LINKAGES is a five-year project funded by PEPFAR under USAID , and S2S Mentoring is one of the innovative approaches used to build capacity and foster knowledge transfer among CSOs.
