USAID’s Investment to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance

Speeches Shim

In 2017, an estimated 19.9 million infants worldwide were not reached with routine immunization. Delivering vaccinations is one of the most cost-effective ways to save lives, protect communities from infectious diseases, and improve health to ensure long-term prosperity and economic growth. Created in 2000, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, is an international organization that brings together the public and private sectors with the shared goal of creating equal access to vaccines for children, wherever they live.
