Under the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), VectorWorks supports increased uses of long-lasting insecticide treated nets (LLINs) through assistance to mainland Tanzania’s National Malaria Control Program. Activities include:

1. Implementing continuous distribution of LLINs through schools, health facilities, and the commercial sector guided by government approved standard operating procedures. At the health facility level, nets are delivered to pregnant women at their first antenatal care visit and to children upon their first measles vaccination.
2. Supporting research on policy needs and vector control (i.e., efforts to eradicate or limit disease-spreading species like mosquitos).
