USAID’s Monitoring and Evaluation project (MEASURE) has developed a cadre of local research experts that can conduct independent, high-quality, evidence-based evaluations for policy- and other decision-making in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This course, on qualitative data analysis, was taught by Dr. Patricia Rogers from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), a renowned expert in the field of evaluation. The MEASURE project’s Research Fellows learned how to address practical and ethical issues in analyzing and reporting qualitative data, particularly related to who participates in interpretation, how to maintain confidentiality, how to track and check analyses, and standards for good practice in qualitative data analysis.
Dr. Rogers has more than 30 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of government and non-government programs. She teaches public sector evaluation at RMIT University, where she is also a leader of the RMIT research program in evidence-based policy and practice. She has received several prestigious awards for her work and outstanding contribution to the development of the evaluation society.
