United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green met today with The Right Honorable Priti Patel, M.P., Secretary of State for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom.
Administrator Green and Secretary Patel discussed the vast humanitarian need around the world, with particular emphasis on South Sudan, Yemen, and Burma. The two officials also shared their views on how the development community can better engage the private sector to achieve common development goals. The Administrator thanked Secretary Patel for her partnership and support, and the two officials expressed their desire for future collaboration between USAID and DFID.
