U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment Michelle Bekkering will travel to Dakar, Senegal from January 30 to February 2, 2018.
While in Senegal, Bekkering will serve as the U.S. representative at the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Financing Conference co-hosted by the Governments of Senegal and France. The GPE supports 65 developing countries to ensure that every child receives a quality basic education, prioritizing those who are most vulnerable and living in countries affected by fragility and conflict.
During her visit, Bekkering will also visit USAID project sites focused on fisheries, energy, water, sanitation, and education.
