Overview
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) are contracting methods designed to streamline the acquisition process. The benefits include less paperwork and lower costs for both the contractor and the Government. FAR 13.003(a) states, “Agencies shall use simplified acquisition procedures to the maximum extent practicable for all purchases of supplies or services not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT).”
