USAID is partnering with U.S. cooperatives and Cooperative Development Organizations (CDOs) across sectors to advance development objectives in 22 countries. The Cooperative Development Program (CDP) strengthens the capacity of local cooperatives and credit unions, promotes more enabling environments, and builds an evidence base to better inform cooperative development design. By strengthening local institutions and systems, the CDP program builds more prosperous and self-reliant communities.
